PHOTOS ONLINE NOW

Some of the photos I took in Lousiana are now online. The animals that we (our little 'Renegade Rescue' group) rescued are listed in an album under "PETS RESCUED". Another album entitled "Animals at Gonzales" are a sampling of the pets rescued and sent on to the Lamar Dixon Equestrian Center in Gonzales, Lousiana.

At this time, I have not posted any dead animal pictures, nor are there any photos that are disturbing to the weak stomached crowd.

The link should work now. Not sure why there was a problem, but others have been able to access it. Try again and let me know.

Those photos are SICK. I realize that you might be trying to show the horror of what happened there, but posting these shots is in really bad taste. I was going to send my photos of all the animals at Lamar Dixon so that people could find their pets, but now that I see what you are doing, I will try to help somewhere else. Shame on you.

I understand that you might feel uneasy about looking at photos of the atrocities in New Orleans, and I respect that. This is why the photos are marked with asterisks--so that anyone not wishing to see the atrocities does not see them. As I have stated on the blog before (if you've read it in-depth), these photos are not intended to horrify, but rather to tell the WHOLE story. There were many happy moments for us in New Orleans, but there were difficult moments as well. I think it's important that to show what horrible atrocities were committed to innocent victims, because it will (hopefully) lead to bringing their killers to justice. If we can not see, we do not truly know. If you truly "see what (I) am doing, you would respect my decision to do so.

To me, bad taste is murdering an innocent animal and believing you would get away with it. If these photos help bring the attention the atrocity needs so that it will never happen again without dire consequence, then maybe these loved little ones can be rest in peace.

Thank you for your words and for understanding the true nature of posting all the photos. I agree with you 100% (as you might guess).

This may sound crazy, but I felt like it was important to be there to witness the carnage...mostly to honor the victims that died; to silently tell them that they were loved and that we would not let their suffering be in vain. I also felt it important to honor their little bodies as they had died. We couldn't be there when they died, but we could bless them afterward. And we will not stand for this to be done now, or in the future.
